Powell Peralta Steve Caballero: The original
dragon seated on the bearing released in 1980. Will take any
version, whether it's 6-ply or 7-ply, as long as it's NOS/unskated.
|

|

Powell Peralta Lance Mountain:
The original 1985 Future Primitive graphic with the big, blobby
guy in the middle. This graphic was printed with and without
a background, I'll take whatever I can get my hands on.

|
|
Schmitt Stix John Lucero:
The first model with the eyes behind the dungeon bars, 1986.
Owned one of these in 1987 and it was the best board I'd ever
skated until the Lucero X2 model came out.
|

|

Schmitt Stix John Lucero: This is the X2
model with the jester character emerging from behind the bars.
Owned several of these boards in 87/88. Schmitt had top quality
wood/stains then and these boards just looked beautiful.

Santa Monica Airlines/Santa Cruz Tim Brauch/Ron Whaley/Israel
Forbes: Specifically looking for graphics designed
by Thomas Campbell (slicks and wood boards), circa 1994-1997.
Thomas is one of my all time favorite artists.
|
|

Stereo Ethan Fowler: Any graphics designed
by Thomas Campbell, circa 1994-1997. |
Vision Agent Orange:
The first release of this band deck in 1985. Way too many
good memories attached to the songs of Agent Orange. Need
to have this on my wall. I owned a used one for a bit, but
it just didn't do the job.

|
SMA Rocco Division
Steve Rocco: the Cross graphic on a full-size model,
1988. Steve Rocco gave me some of the best years of my single
life. For whatever reason, this deck sums them all up for
me.
|

Blind Henry Sanchez: the Beauty and the
Beast slick, 1994. To me, this deck symbolizes the peak of
the World empire as I knew and loved it. After this one came
out - and only for a short bit at that - the company began
to undergo changes that would one day render it unrecognizable
to its former haphazard and ridiculous origins.
|
|

World Industries Rodney Mullen: the Rock
is King model, 1991. To know Rodney is to love this deck.
It was simply prime usage of a skate graphic to its very best
and very worst
|
|
Powell Peralta Alan "Ollie" Gelfand:
the tank model, circa 1980. I once owned a prime NOS Gelfand,
but felt compelled to trade it up for a Napping Negro. No
regrets, but would love to find a replacement in mint condition
|
|

Alien Workshop: any of the sculpture slicks
done by Mike Hill circa 1992-1995, especially the John Drake
Fruit Painter and the Bo Turner Devil Hand Puppet. These AWS
boards were some of the most inventive slick bottoms ever
created. |
|
Santa Monica Airlines Natas Kaupas: the
first Natas pro model released in 1985 (all yellow paint).
Another board I didn't feel cool enough to skate back in the
day.
|
|

Blind Rudy Johnson: the first and little
seen 1991 Experimental Toyota model with art by Mark Gonzales.
My second favorite Gonz-drawn graphic aside from Rudy's Aborted
model.
|
|
Santa Monica Airlines Natas Kaupas: the
fourth or fifth Natas pro model released in 1987 with a portrait
graphic by artist Chris Buchinsky. I opted to buy the Bulldog
art Natas model instead of this one back then, but now I prefer
this one more for some odd reason.
|
|

101 Natas Kaupas: the Patriot Demon model
with art by Andy Jenkins. This was the first board I purchased
in 1991 after being laid off at Powell Peralta. Nostalgia
sucks, but I can't stop the affliction. |
